I am responsible for a portfolio of Professional Services Delivery Programmes and Projects in the Public Sector.As a member of the Senior Management Team I contribute to developing, enhancing and delivering services through our Project Management Group and Professional Services Team. Alongside the Professional Services team, I work with our teams including Sales, Technical Support, Marketing, Legal and all other Company departments.Projects focus on use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS), professional services, data and content, geospatial, location analytics and business intelligence. This provides end users with a greater understanding of their challenges and enhanced insight to inform decision making - operationally and strategically.

The ONS is the UK Government department for Statistics. Managing the Open Geography project. This will transform the geographical information (GI) architecture and simplify work flows, upgrade software tools to ESRI ArcGIS 10, streamline data delivery mechanisms, and meet legislative compliance such as INSPIRE, UK Location Programme and Open Data via data dissemination GeoPortal.Delivered first phase of Open Geography, which enabled electronic download of geography data products from the ONS website. These products include the 2011 Census geographic referencing information and Postcode Products - a suite of key deliverables from ONS. Consultancy, GIS data acquisition and migration optionsProject lead on data acquisition of forested land planting year across all of Great Britain (GB) as part of the National Forest Inventory (NFI) being undertaken by the Forestry Commission.Planting year (which defines tree age) is a critical input for production forecast estimation of timber production for the forest industry, based on growth and yield models developed by Forest Research (research agency of Forestry Commission).The project delivered sourcing of data, assessment, quantification and migration options to central survey GIS database.

Technical Support, GIS, Remote Sensing and MappingProviding technical support for procurement exercise to secure GIS and Remote Sensing consultant for Japanese Government funded project.This project will deliver forest mapping benefits for the Government of Kenya and the Kenya Forest Service in the form of a forestry resources assessment and monitoring system. This will aid towards sustainable forest management as well as provide base data for contributing to REDD+ and other climate change mitigation and adaptation activities.Outputs from the project will deliver GIS tools and training, RS data aquisition, tools and training alongside supportive forest inventory.Core elements of work included development of Terms of Reference, tender submission evaluation, and supportive activities.
