The City of San Marcos has a forward-thinking vision and I’m excited to be playing a part in that. In my role, I’m involved with a lot of land use projects—so as the City grows, I’m able to help bring that vision to reality.I’m especially proud of the legacy we’re building here in San Marcos because this city does a great job of balancing development with community character. As an example, its affordable housing has blended beautifully into the mixed-use development at Palomar Station. As Deputy City Engineer, I manage Traffic Engineering, Construction Inspections and the Capital Improvement Projects Program (CIP Program). Through the CIP Program, I’m helping to bring infrastructure improvements to the Creek District, which will prevent flooding in that part of the community. Enhancing the quality of life through projects like this is gratifying. In fact, that's why I've dedicated so many years to serving the public. And after working in government for more than 30 years now, I can say that the City of San Marcos is one of the most positive, innovative environments in which I've had the pleasure of working. When I’m not helping to shape the future of San Marcos, you can likely find me playing golf or exploring the local brewery scene.
