About Edward Green

After graduating from Surrattsville high school, I attended Northern Virginia Community College. At NOVA I majored in Information Technology, to gain this knowledge more sufficiently I decided to join Year Up, intensive training program that provides urban young adults 18-24, with a unique combination of technical and professional skills, college credits. Year Up taught me professional skills, business communication, critical thinking, and basic IT skills. Obtaining these skills allowed me to excel during my internship at Freddie Mac where I learned different aspects of software. I then move on to Spirit Entertainment Cruises as a Marine Crew member, learning the skills to assist Captain and supervisory personnel in maintain vessel equipment and systems such as HVAC, engine, and technical equipment as well as following safety procedures in order to ensure the protection of passengers and vessel. While doing this job on the weekends I am a Date Entry specialist and Claims Processor for the corporate offices of My Eye Dr entering analyzing patient's health records and other information into spread sheets and company's Acuity Logic. Utilizing applications such as Outlook to respond to various work clients while also proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Windows operating systems.After my resignation from MyEyeDr I started my position at Fort Washington Medical Center as a part-time receptionist, within a few months I was promoted to full-time. The next year I was promoted to Patient Access Registrar, I. Within a year's time I was promoted to Patient Access Team Lead.
