My writing career began while I was in law school and has continued through the present day. Since the publication of my student law review note in 1994, I have managed to continue writing and have published numerous articles in newsletters for the Raleigh Chapter of the North Carolina Society Sons of the American Revolution as well as the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW).I have recently authored the article “Foreign Relations and the Founding of the American Republic.”, Drumbeat, 2016: Vol. 34, No. 1, 18-22, published by The General Society Sons of the Revolution. A copy of the article is attached below. Currently I am working on a project with the SUVCW to erect a national monument honoring the sacrifices of Southern Unionists. To that end, I have also authored the article “Time Cries Out, Honor Me! – A Story of the Forgotten Union Soldiers from Tennessee.” The article has been submitted to the editor of a national civil war magazine for possible publication in 2016.Most notably, I authored the book "Islamic State: The Coming Storm." The work is a condensed treatise addressing the threat presented by the Islamic State and global Islamic terrorism while exploring the genesis of these threats in the greater historical context of conflict and governance in the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. I am currently revising a novel featuring I wrote in 2000-2001 that tells the story of the shift toward ultra-nationalist policies in Europe and the connection to a potential rise of National Socialism in the modern era.
