Supported the President, Product Development overseeing 100 product development programs for DeWALT, Porter-Cable, and Delta professional products. Selected by Stanley Works and Black & Decker finance management to lead the financial integration of Black & Decker's Worldwide Power Tools and Accessories business. Analyzed and approved all new product engineering and capital investment spending worldwide.Significant achievements: Recommended shifting product development resources away from less profitable products to more critical needs. Advised the President and senior management team regarding the financial impact of a wide variety of business decisions, including annual budgets, monthly forecasts, monthly results, new product investments, potential acquisitions and divestitures, and software implementations. Managed the control functions including reporting of actual results, forecasts, and budgets across the global professional businesses. Responsible for leading the US and Asian finance integration of a $1 billion business into Black & Decker's Professional Power Tool Group. Executed plans for integrating Porter-Cable's finance operations and financial reporting, including transitioning to common SAP systems.

Managed the finance and accounting functions of DeWALT's $1.5 billion business in the United States. Responsible for approving all product development initiatives, customer pricing, and programming, as well as control and consolidation functions. Significant achievements:Led team in implementation of SOX compliance and reporting requirements.Created product and sales channel profitability reporting.Redesigned customer rebate and cooperative advertising payment processes.Developed new model to prioritize all R&D projects based on projected cash flow and return on investment metrics.

Supported the VP of Business Development in the identification, analysis, and valuation of potential acquisitions. Worked with general counsel and outside attorneys to negotiate and draft purchase agreements, and with business leaders to develop integration and post-acquisition operating plans. Led the due diligence process and integration of two successful acquisitions, reducing acquisition costs by $5 million and $12 million, respectively.

Responsible for all financial functions of the Latin American Group including finance, accounting, business planning and analysis. Improved the control environment in the region, reducing the Group's business units on the Corporation's audit watch list from 4 to 0. Improvements in internal control contributed to increased operating income of 187%.

Coordinated activities within the Corporate Accounting Department to meet monthly closing of actual and estimated results, as well as annual budget deadlines. Managed the Company's conversion from Microcontrol to Hyperion consolidation product, completed 3 months ahead of the original schedule, on budget.Project manager - Foreign Exchange Corporate consolidation project. Responsible for selecting and implementing the Corporation's foreign exchange management system. Managed the consolidation of all foreign exchange exposures, and the accounting for derivative contracts hedging those exposures.
