I work as a quality systems auditor in the hybrid microelectronics area along with a team of seven other engineers. The devices meet the performance requirements of the military specification MIL-PRF-38534, and end up in a number of different weapon systems. The devices meet the performance requirements of the military specification MIL-PRF-38534, and end up in a number of different weapon systems. I travel six to seven times a year a week at a time, across the country and occasionally OCONUS (I've been to the UK, Canada and Taiwan) to perform audits at the manufacturer's facility. In the office I'm either helping to prepare several manufacturers for their audits or subsequent qualification testing, reviewing their corrective actions after the audit, or reviewing changes to their fabrication, processes, or materials, and reviewing test reports. I am very familiar with and audit to MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-STD-883, ISO-9001:2008, ISO-14644, and several other specifications. DLA (the Defense Logistics Agency) is part of the Department of Defense.
