Project Monitoring Manager
CurrentAs the Project Monitoring Manager at WRI's Global Restoration Initiative, I am entrusted with the responsibility of managing and expanding the work of the "Inform" pillar. In this pivotal role, I have been instrumental in shaping the future direction of Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) for restoration projects and overseeing the implementation of MRV for over 100 restoration projects worldwide.My leadership extends to coalition building efforts to execute the monitoring roadmap for the Priceless Planet Coalition initiative, a consortium of corporations committed to planting 100 million trees within five years. Additionally, I am deeply involved in managing MRV activities for TerraFund, a $20 million facility dedicated to providing grant and loan finance to community-based restoration implementers in Africa through the AFR100 initiative.I am proud to work alongside WRI Global Restoration Initiative's Monitoring (Inform) and TerraMatch (Invest) teams, where I lead research and engagement efforts focused on MRV for over 100 restoration projects in Africa. My dedication lies in contributing to the sustainable restoration of landscapes worldwide and driving positive environmental and economic impact.In this capacity, I collaborate with program teams, international offices, and partner organizations to ensure the effective oversight and implementation of MRV for restoration projects. The Global Restoration Initiative, a part of the Forest team, works in conjunction with governments and international partners to inform, enable, and invest in the restoration of degraded landscapes, thereby restoring economic and environmental productivity.
