Over my years at the Academy for Health Careers, I have taught classes in English from grades 9-12, in both inclusive and AP environments, including AP Language and AP Literature. I also have taught courses in Health Careers and Sciences. I have led department team meetings, presented to other teachers, and created websites in literacy and test prep to create more access to students.

I served as Crew Chief, EMT, Emergency Vehicle Operator, Paramedic, Commissioner, and Training Officer. I was awarded the Mark Frumpkin Memorial Chief's Award and Lifetime Membership status.

I served as a Paramedic for an ambulance service that provided both 911 emergency care, and inter-facility transport services to various neighborhoods

I served in a number of roles in the EMS office at Stony Brook University Medical Center, including transport Paramedic, Medical Control Operator, and Flight Paramedic on the Suffolk Police MEDEVAC helicopters.

I provided training in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support to students

I reviewed the Instructor Manual and illustrations for an EMT textbook, and worked as a contributing author for the Teacher's Guide.
