•Creating and owning the Master Production Schedule (MPS).•Overseeing the generation of weekly / monthly production plans. •Managing production planning / sequencing and scheduling to enable efficient capacity management.•Developing the production planning function, to encompass all elements of factory planning.•Producing and maintaining Production, Sales and Inventory data utilising SAP BI tools. •Communication link with customers (in relation to supply chain).•Generation of site KPI reports for the department. •To drive process compliance within the plant by effective management of lead time parameters. •Support New Product Introduction (NPI) processes by developing and implementing agreed ramp up and ramp down plans for the new products and old products respectively. •Developing and implementing a Finished Goods inventory strategy focussed on both customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies.•Working closely with product management professionals within the business. •Supporting Lean Enterprise Deployment by working closely with cross departmental managers. •Ensuring that SAP production planning and execution processes facilitate and support continuous improvement. •Ensuring compliance and operation within strategic guidelines and procedures.

Reporting to the “Supply Chain Manager” the main responsibilities include •Deputising for SCM when he is unavailable.•Strategic and short term planning and forecasting.•Representing the “Value Stream” at European Supply Chain meetings.•Providing “European SCM” with monthly forecast and actual data, and other data as required.•Project management as dictated by the company’s strategic plan.•Running “Green Belt” continuous improvement projects utilising various methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, etc.)•Managing inventory levels taking account of lead- times (up to 6 months) from worldwide suppliers.•Bill of Material (BOM) forecasting.•Monthly target setting for production while maintaining stocks within budgeted and warehouse space limits.•Daily / weekly / monthly and yearly performance monitoring of the factory and customer service using various KPI’s (e.g. OTIF, Stock Turns, OEE).•Managing day to day running of a team of planners alongside a busy customer service team.•Departmental training to allow for career development.•Product capability analysis and subsequent product introduction to the factory.•IT & business systems development for new products as the factory expert in the ERP system.•IT & business systems development that falls outside of the limited IT resource that we have on site. •Data retrieval and analysis from SAP and ERP systems.•Auditing ISO (9001, 14001, 18001) and BRC systems across the factory.

•Integrating the offsite warehouse into existing space restricted buildings onsite.•The day to day interface and management between Novelis and Eddie Stobart operation onsite.•Development of the computer systems to enable the warehousing operations to run efficiently.•All areas of despatch and receipt of goods.•Auditing ISO (9001, 14001, 18001) and BRC systems across the factory

•All aspects of safety, health, hygiene and environmental activities within the division.•Development of risk assessments and safe systems of work in accordance with company policy.•Development of the hygiene systems as we worked towards ADAS hygiene accreditation in December 2000.•Supplier auditing.•Providing in house basic hygiene training for all divisional employees.•Stock control for raw materials warehouse and export goods.•Managing the warehouse team.•Auditing ISO 9001 and ADAS Hygiene systems across the factory.
