CurrentOneNeck IT SolutionsSystems Engineer III - Databases, July 2016 to Present• Remote administration of managed SQL Services via Cherwell ticketing system for external and internal clients for SQL Server 2000 to 2017. Internal clients are managed systems and telecom while external clients include government, finance, insurance, software, transportation, medical, software, and retail industries.• Responsible for strategic and tactical project development and improvement of processes and scripts• Client base has instance counts ranging from 1 to 3 digits per client with database sizes ranging from GBs to multi-TB per database and counts of a few to perhaps 50 databases per instance• Providing advice to internal and external clients’ DBAs, Business Admins, Project Managers, IT Directors, VMware , Network, OS and SAN admin teams re: best practices for their areas of expertise for properly supporting SQL Server implementations• On call primary DBA on rotating weekly basis handling all SQL Major Incidents and Priority 1 & 2 incidents outside of normal working hours • Perform system health checks and troubleshoot and resolve issues with client SQL installationsMS SQL Server (2000/2005/2008/2008 R2/2012/2014, 2016, 2017), Windows Server (2003, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2), Failover Clusters, AOAGs, Mirroring, Log Shipping, Replication, Cherwell, Nagios, NimSoft, CommVault, NetBackup, Citrix, Juniper, VPN, RDP, VMware, WebEx, Skype
