Synergy’s scope covers:- Residential and business customer recruitment, covering both existing in situ assets and subsidised new asset offerings;- Procurement and implementation of a DER orchestration software platform, and integration of this into AEMO and Western Power systems;- Procurement, installation and maintenance of residential and business DER assets including battery, solar, hot water and air conditioning systems;- The design and development of a DER value measurement capability;- Customer research in partnership with the University of Tasmania;- Partnering with third-party aggregators to test new business models and scale the number of assets involved in the pilot; and- Creation of numerous ARENA knowledge sharing reports and deliverables, including an assessment of the economic benefits that could be provided by the operation of a VPP in WA’s South West Interconnected System.
