Putnam Investments is the recipient of the DALBAR Total Client Experience Award for providing superior client service to it's shareholders. As a member of this award winning team, I process financial transactions, assist clients with paperwork and documentation, and provide investors and their brokers with in-depth knowledge of our mutual funds. While at Putnam, I also participated in the companies annual mock Sales Pitch Competition. I gave a 10 minute verbal presentation on the AMT-free Municipal Bond Fund, one of Putnams tax-exempt income funds, in front of supervisors and judges. I reviewed the funds strategic investing goals and its performance metrics compared to its benchmark. I also compared the outlook for the fixed income market to that of growth and value style equity funds.

Barclay Water Management helps maintain water quality for a variety of systems from drinking water, to industrial HVAC systems, to steam turbine power plants. Working in the lab, I conducted chemical tests on water samples, and reviewed documentation for sales and product orders. I also managed quality control for various products and devices, including chemicals, pipes, pumps, sensors, and PLC controllers.

Because of my interest in energy, I performed undergraduate research at Umass for a professor who is researching the fermentation of syngas into biofuels via a microbial catalyst. We used software to model the performance of a bubble column reactor holding a mutant strain of C. Ljungdahlii, which is an anaerobic bacterium that can produce various synthetic petrochemicals from carbon monoxide.
