  • Monitor London’s sewage flow using Regional and local SCADA systems to ensure efficient and safe operation of the strategic pumping station during dry weather and wet weather conditions.• Hand operate and maintain 4 x 600 horsepower diesel engines in response to extreme wet weather events to manage safe performance and integrity of London’s sewer network. • Work as a solo operator on a rotating shift cycle, including days and nights. • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and minimise downtime.• Collaborate and coordinate with contractors to complete regular maintenance tasks and complex projects onsite (penstock installations/pump replacements).• Complete and sign off on the safe isolation of the pumping station and associated equipment for diversions or the safe completion of major works onsite (currently assisting with the completion of the London Tideway Tunnel).
