Venture ManagerShell Jan 2017 - Jan 2022Brisbane, AustraliaShell Australia is a major long-term player in Australia's oil and gas industry, particularly in LNG. Shell is the operator of QGC in the East and has an interest in Arrow Energy. In the West the Prelude venture, Concerto and Crux fields. Shell also has a share in the Northwest Shelf Venture and holds equity in numerous other LNG ventures including the Gorgon and the Browse projects. Shell is also responsible for the governance of Shell’s onshore coal seam gas business. Shell and PetroChina acquired Arrow Energy Holdings Pty Ltd, intending to develop an LNG export project supplied from Arrow's onshore CSG resources in Queensland, Australia. Arrow operates and produces Coal Seam Gas (CSG) from approximately 500 wells in Queensland (circa 350 in the Surat Basin and 150 in the Bowen Basin relating solely to the Moranbah Gas Project).In 2016 Shell and BG combined resulting in Shell taking over major ownership and operatorship of the QGC JV. This presented a certain industrial logic for the collaboration of QGC and Arrow in providing a de-risked, lower cost route to market for Arrows Surat Basin Gas resources. This resulted in the negotiation of an arms-length agreement between the ventures culminating in the signing of binding agreements in Dec 2017. The Role of Venture Manager was created as accountable for the successful and timely implementation of those agreements including identification and realisation of synergies between the ventures.
