• Management and oversight of daily operations and administrative / human resource functions at the unit level. Supervise two additional staff members. Unit full-time staff supports a unit of 106 Soldiers.• Most senior NCO of the unit and act as the Unit Commander and First Sergeant during Non-Inactive Duty Training (IDT). Currently acting as the First Sergeant full-time.• With the assistance of the other staff members, my position encompasses advising and making recommended courses of action or solutions to unit related issues to the Commander and First Sergeant on training, logistics, personnel and unit related mobilization readiness requirements.• Coordinate and ensure that a unit is fully mission capable as possible, rotating around administrative, medical, dental, maintenance, equipment issue and training, which is scheduled during weekend training and a two-week Annual Training (AT) period.• Taskings also include development, updates and maintenance to a comprehensive mobilization plan.• Planned and organized support responses for over 20 State Active Duty Missions to include: Winter weather, COVID-19, Flooding, Hurricanes, G1 Summit, Pope visits and Inaugurations. • Supported Pennsylvania Homeland Response Force (HRF) at a Mass Casualty (MASCAL) Decontamination Operations Combined Training Exercise (CTE) and a Deployment Response Exercise (DRE) Certification to become Hazardous Operations (HAZOPS) Certified. • Worked in conjunction with Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters (VOADS) (mostly volunteer firefighters), Emergency Management Agencies (EMAs) (mainly Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) and PA Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), and Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPCs) (mainly with Cambria County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to support Emergency Support Functions (ESF).• As a Training NCO I would use my education and training to develop projects and plans, and create presentations for training, which I would instruct.
