Col Ed Debish (Ret.) is an Executive Client Advisor supporting Tanium’s federal teams. A 27-year Marine Corps veteran, he is a thought leader, mentor, and advisor to many in the government and industry communities. His thought leadership and expertise are routinely shared in numerous cybersecurity, federal and military-focused news publications. Col Debish currently supports Tanium’s intelligence community and DoD customers with the ability to make decisions that outpace our Nation's adversaries. Real-time visibility and control are an undeniable information advantage and he ensures that the orgs he supports are able to fully leverage and execute Tanium’s capabilities to win in the information environment. His cyber operations background includes a broad range of experience, allowing him the capacity to provide succinct and thorough information to enable senior leader decision-making and support large scale teams. These skills enable agencies to protect sensitive data and digital services with visibility and control of their IT environments to focus on key mission-critical modernization efforts. Col Debish played a key role in leveraging Tanium to support the U.S. Navy. Given his former command experience in the USMC, he was able to quickly understand the Navy’s unique challenges to better support their warfighting requirements. He also took a similar approach within the IC by leveraging Tanium to support unique customer requirements. He continues to lead others around him through trust and positivity with the goal of making Tanium’s teams better and stronger. His unique experience, leadership, and technical acumen have positioned him as a strategic leader on DoD and federal cybersecurity issues. In his military career, Col Debish serve as the Commanding Officer for the Marine Corps Cyberspace Operations Group and was responsible and accountable for the secure, operate, and defend mission for the Marine Corps' classified and unclassified enterprise networks. In this capacity, he was responsible for modernizing the Marine Corps infrastructure, upgrading circuits for increased bandwidth, and moving the Marine Corps to the cloud. Additionally, he led the MCEN C2 initiative that established six regionally-focused cyber organizations that reported to the MCCOG. A strategic thinker and graduate of the Marine Corps War College, he served in Okinawa as the senior communications officer in the region for the Marine Corps where he developed relationships and deployed command and control networks with America’s Japanese and Korean allies.
