    I created an excel sheet that standardized all pricing for our SSV division. I was then moved from being a project manager to more of a front-end role to handle all quotations and proposals for specialty vehicles vs having 4 separate people doing it. I was much more efficient doing this. In this role, I worked with the customer from proposal request through receipt of the purchase order. Once an order was received the job was turned over to the project manager. In doing this, I standardized our technical specifications and writing standards. I worked with another engineer to expand my pricing sheet to include macros so that the sheet would include the technical specifications along with the price in one sheet. This reduced the time to quote a job from a week to one day. This allowed our company to increase our sales staff from one to 3 people further increasing sales. I attended Truck Equipment College offered through NTEA and became certified to modify trucks to FMVSS, NHTSA and other standards.

    I was a project manager for the new division called Special Service Vehicles. This was a division that made specialty vehicles. Our sales person would generate a lead and turn the lead over to a Project Manager when they wanted a quotation on a specialty vehicle. I would work directly with the customer to create a custom proposal that included a technical specification, price and drawing. The customer would put this out for bid and then I would create the bid proposal submission. Once an award was received, I would manage the project through delivery and the first year of service after delivery. I managed multiple projects at a time and generated the most gross profit per project. During this time, I created an excel sheet to make all pricing consistent and available for the rest of the group. This allowed consistency for pricing and profitability across the division. I created models for our GSA contract and managed the pricing for GSA.

I started off by working in an R&D role designing, building and applying for a patent for a new all aluminum liftgate for the rear of a tool truck. We transitioned from Mac to Windows 3.11 and from Great Plains to Gardian MRP software and all new computers. I set up a CAT 5 computer network and trained all office employees on how to use IBM compatible PCs. I setup the company so everyone was on the same software packages such as Microsoft Office and how to use the software.
