With UX becoming a large enough service line to split out on it's own, I grew the team to seven people. This included management responsibilities such as recruitment and maintaining team morale; managing team workloads and resourcing; and being part of the senior leadership team. To keep quality high, I was closely involved in new business and project scoping; leading client accounts and building client relationships; and also keeping up with the world of UX.

As part of this role, I have learnt about practical techniques to improve a user's experience while achieving business gains. From running workshops to conducting quantitative and qualitative research, I have been able to refine the ability to spot user pinch points and work out achievable ways of remedying the issue.Part of this work has been undertaken through Conversion Optimisation and conducting A/B testing, By incorporating Google Analytics as well, data-driven hypotheses can be created to produce designs that solve problems efficiently. Working in an iterative manner with proven results along the way, a site can be made much more effective with an understanding of why something may not have worked as much as by gaining a successful result.

Working closely with the team at RocketMill, I have been able to build upon my university and internship skills to learn more about web design and how websites work at a practical level – both from a development point of view and from a clients'.I have produced full site redesigns from initial briefing to final go-live, working with others including developers to gain a stronger and more practical knowledge of web design, incorporating my interests in typography and user experience to create effective final pieces.

While at Clearleft I worked as part of the team on various projects from initial discussions and wireframing through to final digital and print designs. As part of this process, I was also able to attend client workshops, learning how to communicate with clients and understand how to get to what the a problem may actually be rather that what it is perceived as being.Working at Clearleft helped me to not only understand the working environment and how a digital agency works, but also highlighted my want to focus on the user experience. Making sure the user is able to get to what they want and need with as little friction as possible is key to ensuring that they either return or tells their friends about the site/service.
