Reconciled 10 district bank statements on a monthly basis. Increased interest being earned for district by approximately $700,000 annually by negotiating for a higher rate in the first 2 months on the job. Established and maintained state and locally approved accounting procedures.

School district with approximately 1,900 students, 110 teachers, 1 High School, 1 Middle School, and 2 Elementary Schools. Completed Annual Financial Report for Federal School Lunch Fund. Oversaw payment of Federal, State and County payroll taxes for each payroll along with the filing of the 941 on a quarterly basis. Created and developed a monthly cash flow report to assist the Business Manager in tracking the cash position of the School District for the 2010-2015 school years. Responsible for all monthly reports includes Treasurer Report for Board, all bank accounts balanced, and each major fund cash flow report and grant appropriation monitoring report. Instituted the payment of Federal, State and County payroll taxes on-line instead of using older out dated methods. Oversaw W2 and 1099 process – verifying and electronic filing. Established a policy to verify accuracy of co-worker payroll and accounts payable checks by using positive pay offered by Bank to prevent fraud. Signed and approved all Board submitted payrolls and accounts payable vouchers. Followed-up with written responses to any SBOA audit findings and worked with them for guidance on questions relating to implementation of regulatory changes.
