I research publicly listed companies across the Australian Securities Exchange and publish investment recommendations for investors who can invest for at least a 5+ year timeframe.

I contributed articles to the Australian Motley Fool website twice a week on a freelance basis. The main areas of writing interest include the news and business results of Australian listed companies, the benefits of long-term investing for retail investors and their families, and the opportunity cost of delay in setting up a personal investment strategy.

I was responsible for the review of superannuation dispute resolution case-work within the ATO (quality assurance), superannuation and income tax law interpretation activities for relevant ATO stakeholders, analysis of a broad range of existing legislation, rulings, policy and guidelines, and the application of research to the resolution of complex dispute.

Working in the Active Compliance segment, my work included the conducting of reviews and audits to investigate contraventions of superannuation law made by trustees of self-managed superannuation funds, and determining the extent and nature of these contraventions.

The audit work conducted in this period included audits on individuals who were deemed to have breached the $1m non-concessional contributions cap for the period 10 May 2006 to 30 June 2007.
