Sr. Subcontracts Manager for the C&ES business group supporting the subcontract teaming, solicitation, negotiation, placement, management, administration and closeout. The Subcontracts group currently supports 31 major programs encompassing 145 subcontracts. Manage and Lead a staff of 6 subcontract administrators in two locations, Maryland and South Carolina. Since arriving, I have built acceptance and a seat at the table. Lead competitive sourcing, negotiations and place multi-year contracts. Major focus has been on re-competing and consolidating our supply chain and leveraging our spend. This strategy has brought forth 12.75% savings last FY. My company was purchased by Energy Solutions. I held overall Commercial responsibility and authority for the Magnox Nuclear Power Stations and the Maentwrog Hydroelectric dam located in Wales. The Wylfa Site is the UK’s largest active Nuclear Power Generating Station and the Trawsfynydd Site is located in the Snowdonia National Park and is in active and accelerated decommissioning. The Maentwrog Dam is operating. Member of both sites management teams. Responsibility includes all Commercial applications, Contracts, Customer interface, Procurement, Stores, Supply Chain Management and Socio-Economics. Manage site contracts which included all aspects of contracting, negotiating, writing, reviewing, approving, and terminating. Oversee Procurement departments from cradle to grave; from make/buy to the early development of subcontract strategies, tendering, assessment, major subcontract supplier negotiations, risk mitigation and IP to implementation, oversight, execution and final close-out. Overall Contracting Officer for the entire Decommissioning of the U.K.’s largest nuclear site, Sellafield, including all Demolition, Waste Operations, and the Calder Hall Nuclear Power Plant. I was brought on board to move Sellafield from that of owner-operator to a Tier 1contractor, while integrating and utilizing commercial processes into all aspects of procurement and contracting. Complete responsibility for the procurement strategy, development, implementation, and oversight associated with Decommissioning, Waste, Demolition at the entire Sellafield site and the Calder Hall site. FY 2006 results: total contractor awards £57,331,021.00 ($113,515,422. 1.98 exch rate); Savings £31,556,967.00 ($62,482,795.). Utilizing commercial methodologies my direct area of responsibility experienced savings of 55% against budgeted values.
