The Lynn Music Foundation is a non-profit startup centered on creative communitycollaboration in music and the arts. It was founded in 2022 by Edwin Cabrera, ChrisMartin, and Jay Moon in order to provide music education, performance opportunities,and mentorship to the underserved music communities in Lynn. The organization’s missionis to provide resources to Lynn artists in music and the arts, helping them to reach theirfullest potential by creating an environment for collaboration, and providing professionaldevelopment opportunities for Lynn artists. Through programming and services offered,the foundation will work to foster a sense of camaraderie and collaboration betweenmembers of the music community, with the ultimate goal of creating a more vibrant anddiverse music scene.

Grind House Recordings is a media company and record label started by me and my partner Chris Martin. The record label was started to promote the immense amount of hip hop talent coming from our hometown of Lynn Massachusetts. The record label has since grown to become a media company with online content and live shows circled around promoting the talented artists the Boston area has to offer.

I work with amazing filmmakers and artists to shoot short films, music videos, promos and any other media related content.

Guide youth filmmakers through the video production process. I show them how to use filmmaking to elevate their voice and make films from their perspective. I also organize, oversee production shoots, equipment inventory, and all other production related tasks.

Co-instruct filmmaking lessons to students and assist them throughout the filmmaking process.

Instructor for the Emerson Pre-College Digital Filmmakers Program. The program is a 5 week Summer filmmaking program for youth filmmakers interested in taking a course at Emerson College. Within 5 weeks, youth filmmakers learned the pre-production, production and post production processes.

Instructed students on how to properly set up and operate a Steadicam.

Whether it's editing a video showcasing some of the amazing works being done by faculty and students alike, or creating a MOOC for people all over the world to be able to learn while also engaging with the video and it's content, the work we create at MIT Video Productions helps capture the creativity and thirst for knowledge the university was founded on.

While working as a Teaching Assistant at Maine Media Workshops, I had the opportunity to work with young hungry filmmakers and industry professionals from all walks of life, coming together to hone their craft. My job was to make sure equipment and locations were secured for filming, transportation was being provided, and that the instructors of each course had everything they needed to ensure the most optimal learning experience for their students.Some of the workshops I was a teaching assistant for include:- 4 Week Film School-Young Filmmakers & Advanced Young Filmmakers-Steadicam-Digital Cinematography-The Art of the Interview-Sound For Podcast

Over at UVC-TV19, a student ran television station for the university, I held workshops for students interested in learning how to use some of our cameras and editing software. Students were taught how to use the Canon HV40, Canon T2i, and Sony Z5U while learning how to edit on Final Cut Pro 7.

My responsibilities were to provide a safe place for all students to work and live as well as being able to provide resources when students needed help with academic performance, drug abuse, mental health and other things that may arise while being apart of the university.
