Establish Centro Sanar, a budding Mental Health organization based and in partnership with the Port Ministries. Establish policies and protocols to ensure program quality. Manage financial structures and grant reporting obligations. Coordinate outreach, organizing, and services delivery across Back of the Yards, Gage Park, and Brighton Park community areas. Provide supervision to team of mental health clinicians, supervisors, interns, and case managers.

Lead and expanded BUILD Inc Community Violence Support Services program to the Humboldt Park Community. Supervised and supported the development of a team of mental health, clinical case managers, and a care coordinator. Established relationship with partners/stakeholders. Operated under a trauma recovery model to enhance long term support for families and youth impacted by violence.

Family therapist and Child Development Specialist

- Provide case management and clinically based services for recruited and referred parents/families, of whom have experienced high levels of trauma and/or have family members who have been impacted by violence and substance use- Organize and facilitate regular parent cafes and family circles, while coordinating parent activities and leadership trainings- Maintain a caseload of 50 families and establish constructive relationships with parent/families through conducting regular home visits and individual family visits.- Serve as an advocate for individual families as it pertains to legal system and such subsidiaries- Organize and coordinate community advocacy events such as peace marches and civic projects in collaboration with partner organizations

- Implement evidence-based family intervention targeting families of "high-risk youth" in middle school (4th grade-8th grade). - Facilitate family group sessions for youth and their families to decrease aggression by promoting children’s academic and social competence, social-emotional concerns and improve parental skills, support, and interactions with the school and youth. - Conduct home visits to determine student needs and conduct more individualizes or intensive services as needed.- Provide case management wrap-around services to youth at risk of engaging in or becomingvictims of aggressive behavior, truancy, suspension, and expulsion.- Provide support and referrals to support family or individual transitions.

- In partnership with Enlace, co-facilitate weekly family-based group sessions focusing on themes such as managing emotions, communication, organizing for success, and roles and responsibilities under the guide of the Great Families Curriculum- Under the Restoring Individuals through Supportive Engagement (RISE) program, conduct outreach in school and community settings, develop relationships with both youth and family, and implement a weekly civic project-based curriculum through in-group sessions for Juvenile Justice System-Involved youth- Implement therapeutic interventions and facilitate group sessions for Grupo Consulo’s children and parents who are experiencing traumatic loss of a sibling or child due to interpersonal community violence in the Little Village Community area- Maintain a fluctuating caseload and provide mentorship, individual counseling, home visitation, and case management services accordingly for “at risk” youth and families- Develop programming and case plans for “at risk” youth and families using a variety of therapeutic modalities or perspectives (strength bases, risk factors, etc.), prevention and intervention strategies, and empirically based interventions- Critically evaluate YSVP program implementation and program development with an emphasis on cultural competency to improve program outcomes and address client disconnection

- Implemented, adjusted, and delivered Safer Foundation’s CORE program modeled in new Belmont Cragin community office - Recruited clients who meet program eligibility requirements from the surrounding geographic communities, churches, community organizations, Probation and Parole Departments, etc. - Conducted comprehensive client assessments and establish individualized case plans reflective of the identified needs centered around employment - Outreached and organized for the purpose of developing new or maintaining existing referral sources in the surrounding communities frequented by clients and their families- Supervised, trained, and evaluated college and graduate school level interns- Maintained a caseload of 100-120 clients from age 18-50+ with a wide variety of criminal records
