I worked as a special needs assistant at refugee law project in the Kampala office. In this position, I am responsible for the implementation of a project on improving access and retention to inclusive education for refugee children with disabilities and special needs set in both Kampala and Nakivale.In this role, I am tasked with the implementation and monitoring of the project activities, I also provide technical support on aspects regarding disability and inclusion aspects to the organization and its partners.In this position, I also provide psychosocial, psychological, therapeutic, and rehabilitative support to caretakers and children with disabilities who have been identified, profiled, and assessed.Under this role, I also work with stakeholders working with children and I am supporting them to become more inclusive and child friendly through training, and advocacy.

While implementing a project providing Skills Development to improve livelihoods and social participation for people with deafblindness/multi-sensory impairment (MSI) and their families in eastern and central Uganda with three other implementing partners. I provided supervisory, coordination, and technical support to the implementing partners through a review of concept notes, accountabilities, and reports for the respective organization while also playing the MEAL role in the project. I supported curriculum development, daily implementation, Networking, synergy development, and monitoring of the project activities. I co-chaired a steering committee at the Ministry of gender labor and social development promoting inclusive education for deafblind children.Under this role, I also provided technical and expert support on aspects of disability inclusion and programming for Sense International Uganda and the respective implementing partners I conducted capacity-building initiatives like conducted training for stake holders working with deafblind children

I was the assistant coordinator for the 3rd CBR/CBID which is the Community-based rehabilitation/community-based inclusive development congress in Kampala Under this role, I co-chaired a steering committee led by the Ministry of gender labor and social development and attracted all disability actors in both the public and private sectors.I conducted stakeholder mapping and training and an evaluation of the would-be exhibitors for the congress I also chaired the accessibility and hospitality sub-committees for the congress. in this position, I conducted fundraising for funds towards the 3rd world congress.
