Edwin is a programme development and resource mobilisation specialist. He has served in various capacities for international non-profits including as Interim Head of Programmes and Acting Country Director. Before joining Oxfam, Edwin worked as the Southern Africa Resource Mobilisation Manager for Heifer International. He has also worked as a Program Development and Funding Officer for the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development based in South Sudan focusing primarily on program development which included fundraising, donor contracts management and capacity building. Prior to that, Edwin was the Southern Africa Program Funding Officer for Progressio. His work focused on institutional fundraising for the Southern African region as well as grant management. Prior to working with Progressio, Edwin worked for Plan International as an Orphan Support Coordinator. Edwin has built his career in business development. His achievements include successfully mobilizing resources from institutional donors such as the German Federal Foregin Office, Food and Agriculture Organisation, the European Commission, the Department for International Development, the MasterCard Foundation, Ford Foundation, Irish Aid, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Start Fund, Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the United Nations Democracy Fund among others. He possesses interpersonal, organizational, communication, teamwork, presentation, community and resource mobilization skills, has strong analytical, planning, community development and reporting skills, is a results oriented, creative thinker capable of adapting to different environments. He is able to cooperate and coordinate with others with the capacity to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. He is committed and a strategic thinker. He has been a safeguarding focal person and counter fraud champion.
