Edwin Serrano is a recent International Medical Graduate in the top 10 of his class. Currently working as a Healthcare Associate at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C.During his medical training he engaged in the following activities:- Human Rights defender: Acting as the director of Charity Affairs and the students Catholic Pastoral for 3 years. Main goals were to deliver free medical and dental attention so as food, clothing and different goods for people in needs in different areas of Honduras, and as a personal goal, to empower woman and children, educating them in topics regarding Reproductive health and human rights they have as a social group. His Doctoral thesis proving the lack of knowledge in these matters and the brutal need to reach these communities and provide education to lower perinatal death, allowed him to apply the entire study throughout the whole nation and lead a team of 22 physicians, serving also as a Co-Authorship for these presentations.- President of the Medical Students Faculty Association for two years: Functions ranged from information for the medical community to the planning and management of medical congresses so as legal representation in different negotiations involving the benefits of students and the faculty.- Radio Host at the Catholic National Station. the Target audience was the young people for education on medical related issues so as politics and other related topics, delivering opinions with the highest quality and veracity.- Lecture Coordinator and Student Adviser. A position at Kaplan Test Prep. in New York City. serving students, Faculty Teacher in regards to counseling, logistics, and planning of different live lectures and study plans.Dr. Edwin Serrano is a philanthropist, with good interpersonal and team management skills, balanced, respectful, capable of following orders and taking wise decisions under stress looking for the sake of patients and colleagues with high professionalism
