My name is Edwin, a Year 4 undergraduate student studying the Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) program in NUS. I have a strong interest in pharmacy and the biochemistry underlying drugs and disease states, as well as its application to the general public. I have been actively involved in extra-curricular activities and held many leadership roles in the past. My tenure as the Chairperson of Infocomm Club (2017 to 2018) and the Vice Director of NUS Pharmaceutical Society's Pharmacy Profession Awareness Committee (PPAC, 2022 to 2023) have allowed me to practice macro-level decision making, human resource management and communication skills with those working with me. My involvement within the Programmes committee in Residential College 4 (2021 to 2023), NUS Pharmaceutical Society's PPAC (2021 to 2022) and RxFlag (2021 to 2022), Temasek Junior College's Mazarin Project (2018) have honed my ability to plan and execute events for a wide range of audiences, as well as handle crises effectively. Moving forward, I aspire to bring in sound clinical judgement grounded in scientific principles into the workplace. Supplementing my desire to work effectively, I also seek to create programs for both my colleagues and the general public to improve the vibrancy of healthcare systems in Singapore.
