I had the privilege of engaging in diverse legislation, offering me the opportunity to contribute significantly to the community through EPA Litter Enforcement initiatives. (I was the first full time EPA Officer Employed by Council in Victoria Band 5E) In my daily responsibilities, my employer entrusted me with authority and capabilities that empowered me to enhance safety and environmental well-being in a substantive manner. Through a combination of education and legal actions against offenders, I actively worked to mitigate future issues, fostering an environment that ensures the well-being and enjoyment of both people and animals alike.There are substantial records of the improvement made by my Enforcement actions in Yarra Ranges Council which reduced costs for illegally dumped rubbish by fining and taking offenders to Court. My employment was shared by Local Laws and Waste Management and used as a test case to spread the role throughout Victoria.

While at Banyule I was involved in publishing a manual distributed to Building companies when applying for Permits derived from Local Laws and EPA legislation. In a short period of time, companies were aware of potential repercussions for not considering safety and environment with a number of successful Prosecutions in Magistrates Court.
