-Perform Key Behavioral Testing of software in vehicles and on the Hardware In Loop Benches to verify functional requirements before calibrators access software.-Read through and trouble shoot software written in C++ then feedback issues to software team.-Assist calibrators with understanding new functions and setting up virtual and physical devices.-Working with the requirements of UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services) and trouble shooting the teething problems of a new cyber security platform.

Avida RV is a well established company in the Australian recreational vehicle market. My role varies from working with the directors as an advisor during the design phases of new models to conducting the final Australian Design Rules (ADR) audit before a vehicle is released to the dealerships. My tasks can be split into the two major categories of “certification” and “compliance”.CertificationThe certification component of my role takes place generally during the concept and pre-production stages of a new model. I review the ideas from marketing, customer feedback and production to determine the feasibility of each idea against both ADR for vehicles as well as the Australian Standards (AS). In addition to research, consultation and testing with experts with in industries such as gas, electrical, chassis construction ensures that interpretation of the rules and standards are correct.ComplianceIn the compliance component of my role, the majority of my work is involved with production. Whilst vehicles have been certified prior to production runs, running design changes and production challenges often creates scenarios where I am responsible to ensure continued compliance to the rules and standards they have been certified to. I also offer assistance in answering technical questions with the customer relations team.

As a part time ware house assistant and sales desk clerk, I learned the range of products and assisted in the organisation of the warehouse. I implemented my production/ process engineering knowledge to improve the pick efficiency of the ware house. Daily communication with both customers and suppliers allowed me to continue my development. I also studied full time during this period.

Responsible for quality issues associated with the manufacturingprocess in HVO (Holden Vehicle Operations). Heavily involved inlean manufacturing strategies, continuous process improvement, aswell as responding to engineering issues, which occur duringmanufacturing. Activities included weekly reports, auditingprocesses, design for improvement, rapid prototyping of equipmentand resource management. Also involved in a large infrastructurerenewal project as part of the experience GM Holden had to offer.This project was approved and is now currently being implemented.

As a Sponsorship and Events Director, my role has been to obtain new partners to work with this career focussed student society. Our goal is to collaborate with engineering companies as well as the student body, to provide an opportunity for students to contact engineers in industry, as well as provide the best students to the industry in the form of vacational work and internships. Events such as site visits and workshops are run in conjunction with competitions which build the soft skill sets many students are now lacking in the academic based world of education.My role lead to a promotion into the Vice President position, however I declined the offer due to new opportunities abroad.

Dedicated to optimising eVe, I have worked on several projects ranging from reinforcing the battery compartment to ensuring the side impact compliance of the vehicle.
