How do people find meaning through their work? This question has intrigued me for two decades. We spend so much of our time at work yet engagement, motivation and general wellbeing in organisations continues to be a challenge. Add to this chronic uncertainty, work intensification and the relentless need to adapt and change. However, I see great opportunity. I believe everyone has the right to create and experience meaning in their work. My deep immersion in exploring the world of work has seen me journey across geographical boundaries of the UK, Canada, Bhutan and Australia; across boundaries of research and practice; and through many industries. This means that I love a good philosophical conversation but at my heart, I'm a pragmatist: if we have the ideas to make the world better but don't convert to action, then what's the point?My contribution lies in provoking thinking and stimulating energetic conversations about work, careers, leadership and teams. I share a deep compassion that comes from listening to stories from people from all walks of life and an understanding of how meaning contributes to the success of individuals and organisations.
