For the last decade, Emily Randall has advocated for healthcare and education access for women, children, LGBTQ folks, and communities of color. Now, she is taking her advocacy and her love for her community into the political realm. Emily Randall is running for State Senate because she believes strongly in giving back to a community that gave her and her family so much. She believes the time is now to rise above partisan labels that divide us to work together for solutions that will put people first.

Western Region

Manage philanthropic engagement of donors and prospects in 11 western states, with an emphasis on previously low-touch cities. Steer Federation relationships with six Planned Parenthood affiliates (independent organizations) to present cohesive messaging and engagement to joint donors, and maximize philanthropy. Collaborate with philanthropic communications team and program staff to submit personalized, impactful proposals to family foundations. Volunteered with Planned Parenthood Action Fund/PPVotes’ GOTV efforts in New Hampshire in November 2016.

We advance civil rights and social justice by inspiring, advocating, and mobilizing through an inclusive movement that works tirelessly on behalf of those we serve.

Selected to participate in Coca-Cola's innaugural year-long colloquium of 30 LGBTQ emerging leaders from the public and private sectors.

Served as liaison for members of the Campaign Leadership Committee for the Campaign for Health & Wellness, a $15M fundraising endeavor to establish a new health & wellness center for gay, bi, and trans men; authored and edited features for the quarterly CHW newsletter, facilitated volunteer-hosted cultivation events. Managed a portfolio of 75 Campaign donors and prospects, including individuals and corporate partners. Established protocols to systematize data tracking in SalesForce, ensuring institutional memory and improved donor stewardship. Played a key role in building the Planned Giving program, developing and executing a cultivation and stewardship strategy for prospects who had not previously been engaged by staff.

Spearheaded a strategic revision of The Durant Society, Wellesley's leadership society for donors of $2,500 or more. Responsible for a portfolio of alumnae, parents and friends rated at $50K. Traveled extensively nationwide to qualify, cultivate, and solicit prospects in order to build leadership gift pipeline. Collaborated with colleagues in The Wellesley Fund, Leadership Gifts, Research, and throughout the College to plan cultivation and stewardship events and activities for prospective donors. Selected to participate in Wellesley College's year-long Leadership Development Program.

Provided guidance and support to 10 reunion and pre-reunion classes: identifying additional Durant Society (leadership level) prospects, setting participation, dollar, and Durant goals, managing all class-wide and volunteer outreach; met or exceeded nearly every goal, increasing Durant members among my classes by 84 donors from FY12 to FY13 and securing $1.5M for The Wellesley Fund. Developed and executed a new volunteer appreciation event, featuring a diverse panel of alumnae philanthropists, and drawing 25% of invitees. Influenced the design and implementation of Love Your Color challenge to acquire 3,300 new donors in June; spearheaded the campaign’s social media outreach calendar and recruited key alumnae to drive traffic to the microsite throughout the month; surpassed goal by acquiring 4,632 new donors.

Directed the front-line implementation of the Count Me In (CMI) campaign to increase young alumnae participation; increased average GOLD class participation rate from 30.3% in FY10 to 36.8% in FY11. Championed the stewardship needs of young alumnae, creating an event series to bring members of the Board of Trustees to young alumnae donors, and organizing roundtable discussions in various cities with the President and Provost.

Managed donor and volunteer stewardship strategy: calls, gift acknowledgment, all printed communication. Coordinated and staffed stewardship and cultivation events: campaign kickoffs, check presentations, hospital tours, volunteer trainings. Designed and instituted tour guide training procedures for development staff

Provided administrative support for Leadership Gifts, External Relations, and Annual Giving: edited briefings for President & Senior Staff, prepared expense reports, entered call reports in Banner and ensured appropriate follow-up. Organized and staffed high-level stewardship events: Houghton Memorial Chapel rededication, Wellesley Development & Outreach Council (WDOC).
