My responsibilities include analyzing video data using Datavyu and developing a coding scheme which analyzes the following: infant motor skills, leg movements, and spatial exploration patterns. I also participate in the Developmental Discussion Group to stay informed about pediatric research and assist with data collection sessions led by Dr. Sargent and Nora Almoadi. My role supports our goal of enhancing early intervention strategies for infants with neuro-developmental disabilities.

I established a nonprofit organization with a comprehensive approach, encompassing the provision of educational resources, distribution of hygiene supplies, and the creation of thoughtful care packages. Our overarching goal is to express appreciation and provide support to children in diverse settings, including educational facilities, clinics, special needs organizations, and beyond. Our reach extends internationally to Liberia, where we ensure that children receive essential items and care; our endeavors ultimately led to the provision of menstrual pads to approximately 1,000 girls and the distribution of first aid kits to 35 schools.

I hold the responsibility of managing and coordinating chapter operations in multiple locations, including the Bay Area, DC, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Cleveland, as part of SPARK. Our overarching mission is to address the prevalent issue of educational inequality in underserved communities. To achieve this, we are dedicated to providing individuals with equitable access to valuable resources and opportunities. At the heart of our initiative are free, student-led classes, which cover a wide range of subjects; our curriculum has made its way to over 150 schools and centers. By offering these classes, we aim to empower and uplift communities by fostering a culture of learning, growth, and self-improvement.

As one of the co-founders of Med-ucate, I played an integral role in shaping and launching this Bay Area-based initiative. Our mission is to improve access to healthcare education, especially in underserved communities worldwide. We collaborate closely with various partners, including special needs organizations, after-school programs, libraries, and more, to develop and host interactive educational programs.

My responsibilities include responding promptly to emergency calls, assessing and stabilizing patients, and safely transporting them to medical facilities. I am highly skilled in utilizing medical equipment and devices, maintaining patient records, and ensuring seamless communication with dispatch and medical professionals. My commitment to safety, quick decision-making, and compassionate patient care are key to delivering rapid, effective medical care as an EMT.

In this research project, my aim was to investigate neural connections and critical output regions within the brain's PRN, focusing on vlgut2-Cre or vgat-Cre mouse lines. My responsibilities included tissue preparation involving fixation and staining to differentiate brain regions. I also employed confocal microscopy to capture images of the stained sections, cross-referencing them with the Allen Mouse Brain Atlas to gain insights into the complex circuitry of this brain structure.

In my role as the former Production Chair for our dance set, I took charge of organizing and overseeing the entire production process- mainly managing costume and prop logistics. I collaborated closely with the team to translate our artistic vision into captivating dance performances that left a lasting impression on our audience.

As the club's Finance Chair, my responsibilities encompassed securing grants, exploring gig opportunities, and organizing fundraisers to effectively manage our club's finances. I allocated funds to cover set, costume, and event expenses while maintaining a balanced budget to ensure financial stability. My goal is to ensure that the club's financial foundation remains robust, allowing us to focus on our primary mission and deliver exceptional experiences to our members.

During the noncompetitive season, I allocated 16 hours weekly to dance, exploring various styles such as Bollywood fusion, hip hop, Latin, contemporary, and classical. When the competitive season rolled around, my commitment increased to 44 hours per week. In the 2021-2022 season, USC Zeher participated in the Tufaan competition and delivered captivating performances at two showcases. In the 2022-2023 season, we competed at four different events: Infusion, Jazba, Bollywood Berkeley (where we secured third place), and Naach Di Cleveland. Additionally, we thrilled audiences with our artistry at two additional showcases!

I developed and taught educational curriculum on human anatomy and physiology to underserved elementary and middles schools based in South Central, LA. My teaching approach included interactive models, real-life case studies, and engaging methods to make complex topics accessible and captivating for young learners in this specific region.

As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), I assisted children in achieving their specific developmental goals aligned with their special needs. I closely collaborated with nurses to manage meals and care, while also contributing to opening, closing, and handling administrative tasks to maintain a well-organized and supportive environment.

As a volunteer clinical research assistant and clinical observer at the Emergency Department of Children's Hospital Los Angeles, I gained valuable experience in various aspects, including proficiently collecting data, enrolling and obtaining consent from patients for clinical trials, and acquiring firsthand observational insights into clinical practices and patient care.

In my research, I delved into the impact of W-7 and cyto-D treatments, with an additional focus on studying markers linked to defects in T21 lungs. This research allowed me to gain practical experience in several laboratory techniques, including immunofluorescent staining, basic cell culture methods, western blot analysis, and RNA extraction. These hands-on experiences significantly enriched my skill set and deepened my knowledge in the realm of cellular and molecular research, particularly concerning T21-related lung issues.

In my role as an assistant in COVID-19 vaccination drives, I worked closely with nurses to ensure the efficient administration of vaccines to the community. My responsibilities encompassed various tasks, including preparing vaccination stations, organizing necessary supplies, and assisting with paperwork and documentation. I also played a vital role in helping to create a smooth and organized flow of individuals coming in for their vaccinations, addressing any concerns or questions they had, and providing reassurance. This experience allowed me to actively contribute to the broader public health effort during the pandemic and underscored the importance of community healthcare initiatives in times of crisis.

I undertook the development of a mouse model aimed at studying radiation nephropathy. This involved investigating β-catenin localization and expression in vivo during the acute phase of radiation injury, specifically at the 5 and 14-day post-IR intervals. Throughout my work, I developed expertise in various laboratory techniques crucial for in vitro research. This encompassed proficiency in performing clonogenic cytotoxic assays and conducting immune marker analyses. These experiences served to enrich my skill set within the realm of radiobiology and cellular research, strengthening my capabilities in these domains.

During my time as a volunteer, I served as a patient care and clerical assistant, gaining valuable experience in a medical setting. I had the privilege of shadowing cardiologists, where I observed various tests and treatments, including thyroid ultrasounds, Bio Z Scans, and ECP Therapy. These experiences allowed me to gain insight into the field of cardiology and provided me with hands-on exposure to medical procedures and patient care.
