I wanted to take a short break to my studies and went to Nepal to teach English to 10-16 year-old school children in Bholung, a village of 35 houses, approximately 100 km east of Kathmandu. In addition to teaching I adjusted to the village life without common language, electricity or running water and learned a great deal about cultural adaptation.
