CurrentBrown & Connery recognizes that New Jersey employers face a unique set of legal challenges. As part of our representation of employers, starting in 2008, we began to develop a workers' compensation defense practice focusing on New Jersey public and private employers. In 2016, our workers' compensation defense practice group substantially expanded with the addition of the law firm of Freeman Huber Sacks Brennan & Fingerman. The Freeman firm has been engaged in the defense of workers' compensation matters for employers since 1950 and provides a deep knowledge and years of experience in this area. Brown & Connery represents major insurance carriers and self-insured employers, as well as various public entities throughout the State of New Jersey including New Jersey Transit, Camden County, the City of Camden, New Jersey School Insurance Group and the South Jersey Transportation Authority. Three of the practice area attorneys are certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as Certified Workers' Compensation Law Attorneys. Additionally, two of our associates were selected as "Rising Stars" in New Jersey Super Lawyer Magazine. The partner responsible for this area of practice is William T. Freeman. He is assisted by Eric E. Fingerman.
