Quality Assurance Specialist for the Aircraft Component Repair, Combined Phase Maintenance and Federal Aviation Administration sections of the Aviation Center Logistics Command. Responsible for contract oversight and performance evaluation of a $1.9B aviation maintenance services contract providing support to over 110 AH-64D/E, 102 UH-72A, 67 TH-67C, 160 UH-60A/L/M helicopters, aviation component repairs and over 450 pieces of ground support equipment valued at over $950.5B. Perform contract oversight of a large and complex Federal Aviation Administration rotary wing repair station (Part 145). Ensure the contractors repair and maintenance programs for the rotary wing aircraft systems are maintained in accordance with contract and Federal regulatory specifications. Ensure the adequacy of the maintenance program, total number of aircraft and support equipment items. Inspect various components for acceptability of repairs, replacement, overhaul, and operations. Ensure a safe work environment is maintained is accordance with the occupational health and safety guidelines, Army regulations, and company work rules. Verify the airworthiness of the issued aircraft for student training. Verify the certification and training of all employees conducting specialized repair and maintenance procedures within the repair facilities. Oversee the Federal Aviation Administration rotary wing Aviation repair station, ensuring compliance with FAA policies and Federal Procedures and contract specifications. Monitor and perform quality assurance inspections on government furnished property, facilities, Aviation related special tooling and special test equipment, hazardous materials and waste, aviation supply parts, property control, housekeeping, quality control, protection, acquisition, administration, and disposition of government furnished property. Issue written and verbal corrective action request and continuous improvement opportunities to the responsible contractor management team.
