CNA-Qatar’s School of Health Sciences CCP program is an ab-initio, 3-year diploma program. Specific responsibilities and course load include the classroom, laboratory and clinical environments. My specialization is in the fields of cardiology, pathophysiology, and evidence-based medicine, simulation lab, as well as advanced clinical skills. I am responsible for liaising with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) to ensure best practices in both education and pre-hospital medicine. This portion of my work includes arranging guest lecturing from paramedics, physicians and allied health practitioners, as well as curriculum consultation and needs assessments with HMC Ambulance Service. As part of a tema, I was responsible for the continuing medical education of both Advanced Care Paramedics and Primary Care Paramedics, for the nine (9) Emergency Medical Services and over 1,400 Paramedics in Eastern Ontario. My responsibilities included coordination and implementation of certification, remediation and return to work programs. Also responsible for the staffing, administration, facilitation, program development and equipment for all forms of clinical education. Extensive experience in evaluating and certifying new hires, re-certifying paramedics and ensuring paramedics are current in skills and knowledge. I developed strong and dynamic working relationships within the Ottawa Hospital, including working relationships with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. Designing curriculum and content for continuing medical education courses for PCPs ans ACPs. I have extensive experience in multi-tasking, simultaneously proctoring, evaluating and animadverting scenarios.
