Electronics Systems Analyst
Current• Provide technical assistance on all aspects of office information technology infrastructure, systems administration, monitoring, operation, design, testing, modification, & maintenance of site's integrated operating system environments, diverse in both architecture and platform, i.e., LANs, WANs, associated real-time systems including network servers, hubs, routers, switches, workstations, desktops, hardware/software programs; and staff's IT support needs, i.e., printers, networking equipment, PCs, laptop, communication devices, training, and systems management.• Serve as technical expert and oversee day-to-day supervision to office electronics staff for coordinating, training, and conducting site-wide field maintenance (e.g., installation, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, systems administration, reporting on); and logistics support for a wide range of complex electronic, electromechanical weather, river or storm data acquisition, telecommunications, communications equipment, standalone and networked computer systems, i.e., Doppler weather radar, meteorological, hydrological and other observing sensors, VHF radio transmission, satellite UHF, associated computers, peripherals, and telecommunications systems for assigned areas.• Participate in project management of assigned systems. Implement national-issued technical orders, security measures, and data integrity/recovery procedures. Maintain documentation and spares on all systems and equipment.• Assist office supervisor(s) with facility issues, maintenance, safety, and as contracting officer's technical representative (COTR). Communicate clearly and effectively to assess needs, evaluate alternatives, and resolve issues. • Responsibilities as CR WRN Roadmap culture team lead included aligning with Evolve NWS objectives/initiatives and culture-building efforts, i.e., community volunteering, organizing office social and team building activities.
