On top of mechanical design work this project was a great exercise in information collection, stakeholder management as well as requirement analysis.

Marel is a global leading provider of advanced food processing systems that specializes in three industries (Fish, Meat, Poultry).I was hired to start up a new team within Innovation GRB. The teams purpose was to implement and then operate a sustainable system to accept, schedule and carry out any mechanical design work related to the maintenance of the standard products designed by Marel Innovation GRB. The team operates across all industries as well as accepting tasks from other innovation teams. The innovation department at Marel Garðabær is full of exceptionally skilled people with very diverse sets of expertise that really allowed me to sponge up knowledge from different disciplines of Engineering and the collective effort required to build something amazing. This job taught me a lot about working in a team both as a leader and a team member in an innovative environment. This has given me a great overview of different aspects of problem solving a skill I believe is invaluable in any work environment.
