Personal and Professional BiographyElizabeth Giannetta-Ramos has been working in the non-profit field for 19 years with COMPASS Youth Collaborative. Her passion for community development and organization began at the age of 14 where she became the founding member of the Southend Knightriders Youth Center, which is now known as COMPASS Youth Collaborative. She has held multiple positions at COMPASS Youth Collaborative beginning with Youth Counselor and for the last 5 years has been the Community School Director at the Burns Latino Studies Academy, a community school in the Frog Hollow neighborhood in Hartford. Mrs. Giannetta-Ramos’s focus as a Community School Director is to ensure that the comprehensive needs of the children and families she works with are being met. Mrs. Giannetta-Ramos received her B.S. in Human Services from Springfield College. Her passion has always been serving others especially young people. Mrs. Giannetta-Ramos has worked with thousands of Hartford children and youth over a span of 19 years. She has built deep & meaningful relationships with her mentees that has spilled over into their families. Mrs. Giannetta-Ramos is active with her church home, Glory Chapel International Cathedral, where she serves on the hospitality ministry, special events & grants committee. She has a call on her life to help support, mentor & guide people to be their best. One of her favorite scriptures is found in Galatian 1:15- But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace. Mrs. Giannetta-Ramos resides in Hartford and is married to her husband, Tony Ramos and they have a 8 year-old daughter, Madison Lee and son, Caleb James.
