About Eric Fitz

I've worked in climate, clean energy, policy and technology for two decades. Currently, I am the CEO/CTO of Amply Energy, a startup focused on enabling everyone to live in a comfortable, healthy, and resilient home while catalyzing rapid decarbonization of the residential sector. Most recently I was the co-creator and General Manager of PowerSuite (powersuite.aee.net), Advanced Energy Economy's SaaS platform that allows users to discover and evaluate their organization's most important energy policy risks and opportunities. PowerSuite's dataset includes 80M+ regulatory filings, 1M+ legislative issues, and 200+ regulator and utility profiles and is enhanced by unique human and machine insights. I oversaw all aspects of the business (product, engineering, marketing, sales, customer success, data science, partnerships and more) from the initial idea, MVP to long term growth and customer impact.Previously a co-founder of several mobile software technology start-ups, a management consultant at Guidehouse (Navigant Consulting) and mechanical design engineer at General Electric’s Energy and Infrastructure business unit. My management consulting experience focused on renewable energy, smart grid and energy efficiency technology and market assessment, business planning, public policy and technology due diligence. A key project included U.S. DOE's, Walk-in Cooler/Freezer Test Procedure and Performance Standard Rulemaking – responsible for establishing the first federal mandated walk-in cooler energy efficiency performance standard. Led modeling of the technical and economic characteristics of the cooler envelope. Defended DOE as lead presenter in all public meetings (see final rule in the Federal Register, 76 FR 21580, April 15, 2011). While at GE, I worked on gas turbine compressor aerodynamics, wind turbine blade computational fluid dynamics and geothermal power plant electro-mechanical control systems.

Listed skills include Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy, Matlab, and 29 others.
