I am a current student at the University of Dayton, majoring in Management Information Systems, with a minor in Pre-Law. Having taken multiple computer-related classes, I developed a passion of learning about technology and how to enhance it. Being confident in my ability to communicate with others, I felt MIS is where I could thrive. As a woman in a technology field, there are multiple challenges and stereotypes that I hope to one-day overcome. It is my goal to give other women in technology-related fields the confidence they need to succeed. Being a part of Big Brothers Big Sisters has allowed me to give back to the community of Dayton, while also helping me to develop important life skills. Being paired with a young elementary student, I have the opportunity to grow a bond with that child, play games and serve as a positive role model. In return, the children help me to further improve my communication skills and my patience. Being able to give back to the community is such an important factor in my life and it is very rewarding to be making a difference.
