• Create operations strategy by partnering with the executive team to align operations activitieswith corporate business objectives.• Understand the company business model and ensure that services are delivered, and incidentsare managed, according to agreed SLAs and corporate strategy.• Partner with other function heads and senior management to set priorities and manage overallservice delivery and technical operations.• Recruit, develop, motivate, coach, mentor and provide leadership to all operational staff, teamleaders and middle managers.• Create opportunities for team collaboration and foster effective communication throughout theoperations function and across the rest of the organization.• Drive process improvement, increase customer (both internal and external) satisfaction, andincrease productivity and efficiency of operations over time.• Develop regular monitoring and reporting of operational activity based on agreed KPIs and well-defined metrics and provide periodic reports to relevant business leaders and executives.• Coordinate negotiation, selection, management, scope of work and SLA of operationsinfrastructure vendors and third-party service providers.• Serve as an escalation point for operations and infrastructure staff, and in conjunction with theCTO provide final authority on operations infrastructure related go/no decisions when required.• Manage the operations budget and forecast and track operational capex and opex to ensureexpenditure remains within budget whilst efficiently executing agreed expenditure to deliver onoperational strategic plans.• Prepare business cases with ROI justification for operations related investments.• Ensure proper operational policies and controls are implemented, documented, and periodicallyaudited.• Perform other duties as assigned by the CTO.
