BERI is an independent 501(c)(3) public charity. Our mission is to improve human civilization’s long-term prospects for survival and flourishing. Currently, our main strategy is collaborating with university research groups working to reduce existential risk.

B-Line is an all-in-one workplace management platform that helps asset managers and operators reimagine workplaces to optimize facilities, increase ROI, and accurately predict the needs of tenants with real-time spatial usage and optimization data. My primary responsibilities at B-Line involved product development, grant writing, managing pilot projects, and other special projects. In early 2022 we were awarded entry into the NAR REACH accelerator program, which secured additional seed funding and opened up in-roads with additional institutional investors. On the product side, I worked closely with our engineering and development team to implement a new product management methodology (Shape Up), plan development timelines, and shape user experiences, allowing us to roll out many new modules and features. I also project managed a re-branding effort, working with designers and developers to improve our UX/UI and update sales and marketing collateral.

Following an acquisition, I moved into an accounting and operations function that allowed me to work closely with the Corvid Cyberdefense team while also liaising extensively with the new parent company, Corvid Technologies, as we sought to integrate back-end systems to drive organizational efficiency.While at Corvid Cyberdefense, I led the development and data migration for Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud, worked to optimize and streamline pricing models and billing structures, and handled all aspects of bookkeeping, accounting, and financial reporting.

Of all special projects I undertook while Chief of Staff, I am most proud of the work I did running sell-side due diligence for the acquisition of our growing start-up, including HR and benefits negotiations, supporting financial audits, and other regulatory and compliance audits.In this position I was able to gain experience in a number of other functional areas, including authoring contracts and service agreements, supporting a pivot from a direct-sales model to a channel-based model, migrations of CRMs and file management systems, and more. I also carried out HR functions, and thoroughly enjoyed my role in on-boarding over a dozen new hires and supporting employee development opportunities.

As the 4th FTE at Rocus, I was hired to be an "octopus," having eight different arms in eight different projects at any given moment. I provided operations support as the company scaled from four to 14 employees by implementing project management software, on-boarding new employees, developing an asset tracking system, and more. I also undertook bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities, and got to flex some creative muscles in doing a brand refresh that involved creating a new website and designing collateral for new product and service offerings.

My first job out of university was at IDB, an educational institute that delivered bespoke programs to the US military and private defense sector. As a Program Associate, I managed a portfolio of education programs focused on logistics, supply chain management, and process improvement, totaling 12 program weeks per year serving over 150 students. I gained extensive academic and practical experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints, completing over 25 Kaizen events in both private and public defense industrial settings. I also developed and maintained corporate partnerships with 60+ private-sector firms that supported education programs and hosted residencies for my students. I also had the opportunity to support various sales and marketing initiatives including revitalizing an annual awards program, organizing alumni events, and conducting business development at conferences.
