Eileen Blake is Associate Director of Post Award Management at the Yale New Haven Health System Grant Resource Office. In this role she ensures effective delivery and reporting of YNHHS projects and programs aimed at providing solutions to healthcare providers of all types related to the challenges associated with the current healthcare delivery environment. Prior to this position Eileen served as the Manager of Exercise and Evaluation at Yale New Haven Health System Center for Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response and Center for Healthcare Solutions. A Six Sigma trained professional with more than 25 years of hospital experience, Ms. Blake has experience in the development of evaluation methodology, tools, reports and improvement activities for a variety of healthcare, public safety and emergency preparedness subjects. Prior to her work with YNHHS Ms. Blake served as a Principal Investigator on a Health Resources and Services Administration Emergency Medical Services for Children Grant project entitled “Safe Transport of Children with Special Health Care Needs.” The project involved assessing the effectiveness of a web based training of more than 1,000 Occupational and Physical Therapists regarding the safe transport of children with special needs. As the Director of Connecticut Safe Kids Ms. Blake fostered a coalition of more than 150 statewide stakeholders to reduce childhood injury. She served as a media spokesperson for Connecticut Safe Kids and managed the Keep Kids Safe License Plate mini-grant program. Under her direction a number of Safe Kids chapters were formed throughout the state and the coalition received awards of recognition from Allstate and the National Safe Kids program.
