Together with my colleagues, I am committed to making the hardfruit chain (apples and pears) of Vogelaar Vredehof more sustainable. With a focus on environmentally friendly cultivation, CO2 reduction and circular solutions, I work on future-proof strategies that contribute to a greener world.

As a freelancer, I contribute in various ways to this company which grows a sustainable alternative to styrofoam made from agricultural waste and mycelium.

In collaboration with COROOS, I conducted research on ways to promote biodiversity within conventional Dutch agriculture. This included an extensive literature study on ecosystem services and biodiversity, as well as multiple qualitative interviews with Dutch farmers and supply chain partners in the agri-food sector. Before the start of my graudation project at COROOS, I assisted in the preparation for the upcoming CSRD. This meant I was involved in writing explainatory documents about the CSRD for the company’s employees, presenting CSRD updates to the board, and conducting the double materiality analysis (i.a. an ESG questionaire to gather stakeholder input).

During a four-month internship at HASERA, an esteemed organization in Nepal in regenerative farming, I conducted 20 qualitative interviews to gain insights into the perspectives of Nepali youth regarding farming and alternative career paths. This informed my recommendations to enhance youth engagement in HASERA’s trainings, including leading an.

During this traineeship I delved into the practical application of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With a team of five we developed a tool for a consultancy firm with clients in the leisure sector. With this tool the consultancy firm can measure the sustainability performance of their clients and use this to advise clients on improving.
