Responsible for all aspects of government relations for a five state region (WA, AK, OR, MT and ID). Instrumental in the passage of legislative action that increased public awareness of and access to treatment for HCV, cancer, osteoporosis and pandemic flu. Established and maintained effective working relationships with legislators, executive, legislative and agency staff and ally groups. Led groups of account managers and medical professionals in successful negotiations with government thought leaders and administrators. Served as State Government Affairs Team Lead for key industry issues - pandemic planning and pharmaceuticals in the environment.

Developed and promoted a health care agenda. Provided policy analysis and political strategy to governor and relevant cabinet members. Directed legislative relations and managed policy initiatives for five state agencies. Served as primary media relations strategist and contact for health issues. Established and maintained successful legislative, community and stakeholder relations.

Developed and implemented communications and community outreach plan for health reform. Secured and managed a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant for State Initiatives in Health Reform. Served as Director of External Relations for the Governor's Health Policy Board.
