- Working with engineers, compliant with FERC regulations, to maintain an accurate list of BES substations. - Designed and automated a standard in Microsoft Excel that provides contractors with component selection and quantities for work orders depending on panel types, with respect to the material preferences of Xcel Energy’s Head of the Wireshop. - Co-designed a preliminary one-line diagram for a new substation starting construction in 2025, building the drawings in Bluebeam and determining current ratings with a commitment to quality and accuracy.

- Primary duties include working on Capital and O&M projects to repair, replace, and upgrade major equipment at existing Substations in North Texas and New Mexico. Projects entail building work orders for materials, creating Install/Replace Schematics and Tabs, coordinating with Substation Electricians and Relay Technicians in the field, and solving complicated electrical problems, often while on-site.- Duties included use of software such as Bluebeam and MicroStation, along with ProjectWise and SAP for project management.- Projects range drastically, with every piece of equipment requiring its own set of preparations. Some of the pieces of equipment include Bitronics Meters, Beckwith LTC Controls, House Battery Systems and Battery Chargers, Auto-Transfer Switches, Annunciator Target Relays, Potential Transformers, along with shadowing more involved large-scale projects like Transformer and Breaker replacements until proficiency is reached to complete those projects alone.- Duties include setting Mobile Substations, for projects that require replacement or de-energization of major equipment.- Office duties often require wearing multiple hats (not literally). Time management skills are imperative, as often times multiple projects need to be worked on at once.- Feild duties often necessitate travel to areas within a 1–2-hour drive from Amarillo. Travelling to neighboring cities on a daily basis has become second nature.- As a major project in Summer 2023, I designed and commissioned a Control Panel for a functional vacuum breaker (BKR4030) in Xcel Energy's Apprentice Lab, along with installing breaker failure capabilities for the other two existing breakers in the lab. I did all of the design work and drawings from this project and wired the panel by hand with another intern. I also designed Schematics and Tabs for four empty panels in the lab that will be used by Electrician Apprentices for wiring projects and testing.

Primary duties include answering questions for patrons and routing concerns to the appropriate department in person or by telephone, charging and discharging books and materials to patrons in person or by telephone, performing data entry for patron registration and processing library cards for distribution, receiving payments for fines or lost materials and making change, routing materials to other libraries, processing renewals, monitoring book drops, processing book holds and notifying patron, and processes copies made from the computer lab and the payments associated.Alternative duties include pulling books on hold, managing new books and shelving DVDs, handling special interlibrary/agency loans, shelving miscellaneous library materials, assisting patrons in the computer lab when Digital Tech Associate is unavailable, assisting in youth work when Youth Personnel is unavailable, taking damaged materials out of circulation, counting drawers, reporting building and maintenance problems, recording nonautomated circulation statistics, keeping assigned library zones presentable, and helping the Youth Department with school field trip groups.Over an 8-hour shift, 100-200 patrons may come in to charge or discharge materials, request assistance, or pick up holds. Patrons in need of general rerouting are within 40-50 per shift. 400-600 items will be discharged throughout the day by a single worker, either from patrons or from the daily route delivery. The same number of items may be charged to Patrons or rerouted to other branches. Around 10-30 holds may need to be pulled by a single patron in a day from various zones in the library. Around 20-30 DVDs will be discharged and reshelved by a single worker every shift. A circulation assistance may take 25-50 telephone calls in a day that contain questions, and 10-20 requesting renewals on library materials. In a single shift, 5-10 patrons may request a copy from the copier, and 10-15 may come to pay a fine.

Managing Patron computer minutes, helping Patrons with official forms and job applications, answering technical questions, troubleshooting basic computer problems, cleaning computer stations, and enforcing Patron policies are my main duties. The workplace has been so helpful, and all of my coworkers have been delightful. I want to maximize my ability to help people in this vastly important public service job!

I enjoyed my time as a Barista at Roasters. It is challenging, rewarding work that has strengthened my abilities in workload management, skill refinery, customer service, and focus. My coworkers and supervisors make the experience even better for me. At the end of every day, I feel accomplished because of the creations I've crafted, the skills I've honed, and the customers I've made happier.
