Working at Departmental Open Days showing around prospective students and aiding the delivery of outreach events including Discover STEM (encouraging local 16/17 year olds to study STEM subjects) and Discovery Night (an evening of science activities for primary school age children and their parents). The role requires enthusiasm and the ability to interact with a variety of age groups but with the same purpose of encouraging involvement in science at all different levels.Developed and delivered a session as part of a multidisciplinary team to present a relatable real world problem (how to create the perfect chocolate bar) to year 12 students to show how different chemistry related degrees would approach the problem, highlighting the differences between the programs to inform their degree choices.

Signing up new supporters for the charity and sharing coastal safety messages with children and families at beaches over the peak summer period.
