About Eric Scofield
The thread that weaves through my entire time in Young Life is relationships! And I couldn’t be more grateful for each of these. I have a unique location in the mission for a unique perspective. That’s why I’m thrilled to serve as Young Life’s Principal Gifts Officer, where I get to lean into relationships with our partners every single day. What started out as direct ministry as an Area Director, has evolved into a career engaging donors in an intentional way and building up other leaders. My recent years serving as Chief Development Officer and leading our development teams has given me the unique understanding of the needs around Young Life, as well as the opportunities within our staff, volunteers, and our supporters around the globe. It’s an exciting time to be part of ministry in Young Life and to witness lives changed by Jesus day in and day out. So, it’s a true honor to share these glimpses of ministry with our partners, friends, and supporters of Young Life!__________________________________________________A huge piece of what I do is share my experience and knowledge with others. I am often speaking at Young Life events around the world and have spoken at hundreds of Young Life fundraising banquets and fundraising events, summer camps, committee trainings, and leadership development conferences. I also enjoy speaking at retreats, conferences, churches, and men’s events.

Stepped into a struggling region and helped grow it to a healthy region within eleven months. The Southcoast region had a deficit of over almost $600,000 and one of the lowest numbers of campers attending summer camp in the mission, but grew to a thriving region that was out of deficit and grew to cover San Diego, Riverside and Orange Counties. Led efforts.
