Conducting water, storm water, soil, soil gas, and air sampling to aid in the characterization of project sites and document the long term impacts of remediation efforts. Monitoring and inspecting construction sites and overseeing/documenting drilling projects for well installation and deconstruction.

Learning how to operate lathes, mills, band saws, cranes, welding machines, and grinders to complete projects in the shop. Supplemented by my education in the Industrial Maintenance Program at Laney.

Welcome and orient visiting school groups. Facilitate learning experiences in natural sciences and support our visitor’s exploration of technologies and their mechanisms. Empower students to tinker with everyday objects and the world around them to foster a community of inquiry.

Stanford, Ca

Managed a dorm community of 100+ residents and an annual budget of $15,000 for event planning. Trained to be a first responder for emergency physical, mental, and emotional crises of residents.

Characterized samples using a petrographic microscope, an electron microprobe, and ion microprobe. Processed geologic samples, analyzed and interpreted data using excel to determine the thermal conditions at which rocks formed. Presented research at annual AGU conference. Worked 40 hour weeks. Awarded $6,200 for project by Stanford University.

Used Excel and Matlab to reorient field data and model a geological deformation in the earth’s crust. Constructed 3-D images of the outcrop using Photoscan. Analyzed samples with a petrographic microscope to conduct point counting analysis. Worked 40 hour weeks. Awarded $6,400 for project by Stanford University.

Constructed long term housing for objects within the collection using archival cardboard, silica bead pillows, and tissue paper. Monitored environment of storage cabinets by conditioning silica gel and replacing bags when necessary. Facilitated interactive workshops for museum patrons.

Collected compositional data in the field in order to make illustrations of the study area that contributed to further interpretation of the region. Utilized Illustrator to create stratigraphic columns of the rock lithologies present. Worked 40hr weeks. Awarded $5,400 for project by Stanford University.
